Vietnamese cashew kernels: define your export requirement
CatLai CentraFert reviews cashew-kernel enquiries for food manufacturers, wholesalers and repackers. Specify the kernel presentation and quality criteria your market needs, then connect them to packing and delivery. The offered origin, grade, quantity, evidence and commercial terms are confirmed for the transaction.
Request a Vietnamese cashew-kernel quotation with your required presentation, quantity and destination.
Identify kernels rather than the broad nut category
Raw nuts in shell and prepared cashew kernels are different materials. This page concerns kernels. Tell us whether you need whole kernels, butts, splits or pieces and whether the receiving operation is repacking, roasting or ingredient manufacturing. Confirm the processing state and ingredient declaration relevant to the product.
Where your brief uses a commercial grade name, include the agreed count or size basis, colour and defect criteria. A requested grade is not a promise of current stock. The offer should identify the actual presentation and analysis or inspection basis so similar labels can be compared meaningfully.
Translate the presentation into acceptance criteria
Specify the size or count requirement, acceptable breakage, colour, moisture, foreign matter and relevant defects. Add the microbiological, contaminant and other safety evidence required by your application and destination. State the sampling method and whether your team has a defined inspection protocol.
Explain which criteria are mandatory and which are preferences. Whole kernels for a retail pack and pieces for a formulation do not have identical purchasing priorities. A sample picture can communicate appearance but cannot establish all the composition, safety or commercial-quality requirements of the consignment.
Review samples and the supplier record
Describe the approval process and ask how a sample will represent the proposed lot. Agree lot identification, sample retention where needed, inspection responsibilities and the records that your receiving team should review. Production-origin and processing information should relate to the actual product offered.
The UNECE dry and dried produce standards list includes DDP-17 for cashew kernels, 2023 edition. It provides a commercial-quality reference to discuss in the contract; it is not certification of a supplier or a substitute for the proposed quality file. Any required certification must be supported separately.
Share your kernel grade and quality brief.
Choose a pack that protects the accepted condition
Discuss suitable barrier inner packaging, export cartons or another supplier-supported system. Agree net quantity, closures, lot codes, label language and pallet layout. Repacking requirements and your handling equipment should be stated before pack selection. No universal pack size or shelf life is implied by a generic kernel description.
Review dry storage, carton strength, stacking, odour segregation and protection against moisture and damage. Ask for product-specific storage and shelf-life information and clarify the package-integrity inspection. The packing list should distinguish the product quantity from the outer packaging and identify the shipment lots.
Coordinate the Vietnamese cargo handover
Gateway selection follows the supplier location, cargo preparation, carrier service and terminal acceptance. For suitable southern-origin cargo, review the Cat Lai planning context on the Port Logistics page. A gateway reference does not establish a fixed booking or company-owned facility.
Use the Trade Process to align invoice, packing list, origin evidence, analysis or inspection records and transport documents. The exporter and destination broker should identify the exact product-entry documents. The Vietnam buyer guide gives broader product and handling context.
Prepare a quotation-ready kernel request
Send your company and contact, presentation, commercial-quality criteria, processing use, quantity and unit, preferred packing, destination and loading window. Include the Incoterms rule and named place if known, together with sample and documentary requirements. Availability and accepted commercial options belong in the proposed offer.
